My name is Cam Wright, and I am running to represent Wyoming House District 46.
I have spent my entire life serving others, from military service to engineering and education. I understand what Wyoming families need because I’ve lived it.
I'm running to bring practical, common-sense leadership to the Legislature, focusing on strengthening our communities, supporting our workforce, keeping our kids in our state, and protecting what makes Wyomingspecial.
About Cam
I’ve dedicated my life to serving my country, our education systems, and Wyoming’s future. I began my military career in the U.S. Navy at 17 and later served in the Air Force, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel after 30 years working in intelligence, engineering, and space programs.
For more than two decades, I’ve worked at the University of Wyoming, including serving as Dean of the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences from 2019 to 2025. There, I focused on strengthening student opportunities and advancing research.
As a professor, I have helped prepare the next generation of Wyoming’s workforce. My family and I are proud to call Wyoming home, and we are deeply invested in its future.
Now, having recently retired, I’m running for the Wyoming Legislature to support strong schools, protect our freedoms, responsibly manage our natural resources, and build an economy where Wyoming families can thrive. I believe our district needs someone who is available and willing to put in the work for our community.
